Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a financial control framework that aligns with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing monitoring and reporting procedures to ensure compliance with the framework.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate financial risks, and implement controls to optimize processes.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to the Finance Leadership Team and other stakeholders on financial control matters.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes to external governance requirements and leverage industry knowledge to ensure Virgin Atlantic's financial control environment remains robust.

Requirements

  • Accounting qualification and experience in audit or internal control framework, preferably from a Big 4 company.
  • Strong knowledge of risk assessments and design of appropriate, proportionate controls to optimize processes.
  • Experience in evaluating and managing projects and change initiatives, such as implementing a SOX program.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
