Barts Health NHS Trust seeks an ambitious clinical professional to lead the cystic fibrosis clinical nurse specialist service, driving improvements in patient care through clinical practice, education, and research.



Salary

Competitive salary range: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.



About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a seamless specialist cystic fibrosis service, focusing on continuously improving standards of patient care. This involves providing expert clinical leadership, educating healthcare professionals, conducting research, and participating in audit activities.



Main Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing strategies to enhance patient care and outcomes
  • Liaising with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective coordination of care
  • Leading change management initiatives to improve the quality of service delivery
  • Mentoring and supporting junior staff members to advance their skills and knowledge
  • Contributing to the development of clinical governance frameworks and policies


Requirements

  • Possession of a Master's degree or working towards one
  • Non-medical prescribing qualification
  • Clinical experience in cystic fibrosis care
  • Experience of change management and leadership
  • Able to analyze and act on research findings and changing environments
  • Clinical leadership skills and ability to develop effective local and national networks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
