Aerospace Quality Inspector

Service Service Employment Agency Limited is seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to join their team in Norwich.
This is an exciting opportunity for a mechanical inspector to work with a leading engineering business that genuinely invests in their staff, providing long-term careers and opportunities for growth and development.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the quality requirements of the customer and the organisation, executing general inspection functions, including visual and dimensional inspections, using mechanical measuring devices, and reporting results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough inspections to engineering drawings.
- Conduct precise measurements using precision instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and dial test indicators.
- Locate datums on parts and measure dimensions such as angle, arc, and radii using a combination of aids such as parallel bars, gauge blocks, v blocks, sine bars, and precision measuring instruments.
- Visually compare work pieces against one another to assess in-process manufacturing variations.
- Report quality problems or findings and follow up to ensure corrective action has been taken.
- Interact with different departments to ensure compliance with specifications and facilitate acceptance of parts.
- Inspect surface coatings such as anodizing, phosphate, and paint to specifications.
- Verify commercial off-the-shelf items conform to specifications required and the relevant documentation has been received.
Essential Attributes:
- Good computer and communication skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- A positive 'can-do' approach.
- Full driving license to drive in the UK and abroad.
- Valid passport with no travel restrictions.
- The ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- Good working knowledge of engineering drawings, including GD&T.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight schedules.
