Aerospace Quality Inspector

Service Service Employment Agency Limited is seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to join their team in Norwich.
This is an exciting opportunity for a mechanical inspector to work with a leading engineering business that genuinely invests in their staff, providing long-term careers and opportunities for growth and development.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the quality requirements of the customer and the organisation, executing general inspection functions both visually and dimensionally, including using mechanical measuring devices and reporting results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough inspections to engineering drawings.
- Conduct precise measurements using instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and dial test indicators.
- Locate datums on parts and measure dimensions such as angle, arc, and radii using a combination of aids and precision instruments.
- Visually compare work pieces to assess manufacturing variations.
- Report quality issues and ensure corrective action is taken.
- Collaborate with departments to ensure compliance with specifications and facilitate part acceptance.
- Inspect surface coatings such as anodizing, phosphate, and paint to specifications.
- Verify commercial off-the-shelf items conform to specifications and relevant documentation is received.
Essential Attributes:
- Strong computer and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a positive approach.
- Full driving license to drive in the UK and abroad.
- Valid passport with no travel restrictions.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- Good working knowledge of engineering drawings, including GD&T.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight schedules.
