**Electrify Britain: A Groundbreaking Initiative**
Octopus Energy, a leading energy company, is driving the widespread electrification of the UK through its groundbreaking initiative, Electrify Britain. Our mission is to make energy cheaper, more secure, and drive economic growth through electrification.
**The Importance of Electrification**
Electrification is crucial to achieving net zero emissions. Currently, transport accounts for 23% of UK emissions, and domestic heating contributes 15%. By transitioning to electric vehicles and electrified homes, we can dramatically cut these emissions and reduce household energy costs.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve business objectives and drive electrification initiatives.
- Lead a high-performing team, including a Social Media and Communications Manager and a Researcher, to drive advocacy campaigns and promote electrification policies.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of Electrify Britain, ensuring efficient and effective management.
- Develop and manage the organisation's budget, ensuring financial sustainability and accountability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement policies and initiatives that promote electrification and drive economic growth.
