Electrical Systems Engineer

At Assystem, we are seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team working on the Hinkley Point C project. As an Electrical Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting electrical commissioning activities, ensuring all systems are safely and efficiently commissioned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to team meetings and liaise with designers and project managers for electrical deliverables
  • Assist the Commissioning Manager/Engineer by developing commissioning documentation related to testing and system validation
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure system layouts allow for efficient commissioning
  • Take ownership of commissioning programmes and contribute to detailed planning
  • Supervise contractor commissioning personnel to achieve successful and safe commissioning of HPC systems
  • Analyse commissioning results and provide detailed reports
  • Support compliance with nuclear, environmental, and industrial safety requirements, ensuring alignment with international safety and technical standards

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Relevant experience in the nuclear industry
  • Experience in producing design documentation and test specifications
  • Ability to manage workloads to meet deadlines and KPI requirements
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and accurately in English
  • Proactive in developing positive working relationships, particularly with remote teams in France and Germany
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
