About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead or participate in delivering complex and high-profile audits. You will be responsible for:

  • Leading or participating in thematic audits of UK and EU regulations to satisfy regulatory coverage for the UK legal entities, across multiple lines of business.
  • End-to-end planning, fieldwork, and reporting of audit assignments, requiring consideration of complex business processes and decisions.
  • Identifying meaningful issues impacting business and operations under review, challenging management to ensure appropriate remedial action has been taken.
  • Preparing draft audit reports and following up on audit actions.
  • Building and managing relationships with key stakeholders, including subject matter experts and audit teams.
  • Representing Internal Audit on projects and at management meetings/committees.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant years of experience working in financial services or banking, within Third Line Internal Audit or Second Line Risk or Compliance Monitoring.
  • Substantial operations, conduct, and governance understanding and exposure.
  • In-depth knowledge of audit methodologies and UK and EU regulations (MiFID II, EMIR, PSD, SFTR).
  • Strong working knowledge of Markets (FX, Securities Finance, Fixed Income) and Collateral Management products, and applicability of regulations to those products.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and project management skills, with the ability to influence at a senior level.
  • Self-starter with a high degree of self-sufficiency, excellent planning, coordination, organization, and presentation skills.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to change.
  • Strong knowledge and use of Excel and other Microsoft software.
