Job Title: Change Portfolio Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Change Portfolio Manager to join our team at Schroders Recruitment. As a key member of our Portfolio Management Team, you will be responsible for leading the prioritization and impact assessment of new projects and features, ensuring effective delivery and maximizing the value of our change programme.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain a robust roadmap of change, working closely with various business areas to ensure alignment and effective delivery.
  2. Collaborate with the Portfolio Management Team to maintain accurate information on our Change Framework tool, KeyedIn.
  3. Lead the prioritization and impact assessment of new projects and features, acting as a gatekeeper for delivery and ensuring effective resource allocation.
  4. Monitor capacity and potential bottlenecks with value streams and business functions, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  5. Develop an insightful view across the portfolio, identifying key risks, dependencies, and issues, and providing recommendations for mitigation and resolution.
  6. Coordinate the financial status of the portfolio, translating findings into implications for the Portfolio and ensuring effective budget management.
  7. Contribute to management reporting on the Portfolio, including reporting into the wider Schroders Group.

Requirements

  1. Degree or equivalent in business management, with a strong understanding of lean and agile principles.
  2. Experience in facilitating portfolios with a lean, agile mindset, with a proven track record of managing complex project environments.
  3. Strong familiarity with the principles, tools, and techniques of lean portfolio management, including SAFe Agile and Agile working methods.
  4. Excellent stakeholder management and engagement skills, with the ability to advise and challenge decisions at senior management level.
  5. Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project or equivalent, with solid experience in budget management.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  1. Experience in the Financial Services industry, with a background in management consulting.
  2. Understanding of project management methodologies, including Prince2, PMP, Lean, and Six Sigma approaches.
  3. Experience in project budgeting and financial management, with a strong focus on delivering value and maximizing returns.

  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
