Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and charismatic Poker Dealer to join our team at Grosvenor Casino, Newcastle. As a Poker Dealer, you will be responsible for dealing a successful and entertaining poker game, providing a professionally dealt game of poker, and creating a memorable guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers warmly into the business and provide a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Live our values of Service, Teamwork, Ambition, Responsibility, and Solutions in all interactions with customers and colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide efficient and dynamic service, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for customers.
  • Deliver an excellent quality experience by evaluating individual needs and acting upon this information, ensuring that every customer feels valued and respected.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and card room supervisor to ensure seamless game operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Create an environment of community and fun, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere for customers and colleagues alike.
  • Show immaculate technical standards in dealing, chips skills, bet calculation, and enforcing the rules of the game, ensuring a fair and enjoyable experience for all customers.
  • Interact with customers in a range of ways that is consistent with their experience and ability in the game, providing a personalized and engaging experience.
  • Maintain the security of the game, cash, and assets, ensuring the integrity of our operations and the safety of our customers.
  • Ensure proactive compliance with all regulations, particularly for licensing conditions, and safer gambling practices, upholding the highest standards of responsible gaming.

Requirements

  • Positive attitude and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Experience of working successfully in a hospitality role, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Previous experience working as a poker dealer is preferred, but not essential.
  • Fanatical about delivering unrivalled customer experience and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of the job.
  • Ability to collaborate with the wider business, working effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals.
  • Comfortable with change and able to adapt to new ways of working, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Good interpersonal skills and conflict resolution, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to work shifts at any time of the day, including weekends and bank holidays, with a flexible approach to working hours.

This is a zero-hour contract, offering flexibility and autonomy in your working hours.
