Job Summary

The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) is a leading organisation in the safeguarding arena, working alongside multi-agency partners to protect people's health, wellbeing, and human rights. We provide disclosure functions in England, Wales, Jersey, Guernsey, and the Isle of Man, and barring functions for England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, on behalf of government.

Key Responsibilities

The Business Improvement Support Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the development of business improvement activities within the Operational Services Directorate. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting strategic business development activities, including business improvement, process improvement, and business case support.
  • Assisting in the development of business improvement, change, and planning documentation, including supporting the completion of Home Office requirements and contributing to the Directorate achieving Value for Money.
  • Providing a central point of contact for business improvement and change activity within the Operational Services Directorate, including monitoring the recording of work request processes and requests received from the Continuous Improvement Forum.
  • Working in partnership with the Corporate Change Management and Business Improvement Teams and the Operational Services Directorate to support and embed improvement and change activity, including supporting business transition and operational change, and developing and supporting change champions and change agents.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A good standard of written and verbal communication.
  • Awareness of Adult and Children Safeguarding.
  • Good skills in Microsoft 365 packages, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, Teams.
