Civic Guardian

We are seeking a highly trained and dedicated Civic Guardian to join our team. As a key member of our Operational Units, you will play a vital role in protecting the nation's security and upholding the law.

As a Civic Guardian, your primary responsibility will be to provide 24/7 armed response, patrolling and protecting nuclear sites, facilities, and materials, as well as patrolling in local communities and working with local Home Office Police Forces.

You will also be part of the Strategic Armed Policing Reserve and may be deployed across the country as part of Operation Temperer in response to terrorist attacks.

Our comprehensive training programme will equip you with everything you need to become one of the most highly trained firearms professionals in the country.

Upon completion of our Initial Foundation Programme, you will be posted to your nominated location and continue to develop your policing skills as an operational Authorised Firearms Officer.

After successfully completing your 2-year probationary period, you will be eligible to apply for a role in one of our specialist areas to enhance your policing skills further.

In this role, you will be responsible for displaying the highest standards, values, and professional qualities at all times and adhering to our service values and Code of Ethics.

The salary for this position is £29,907 per annum, increasing to £31,164 after successful completion of your 2-year probation.
