Police Constable Location : The organisation is an armed police service dedicated to the nuclear industry. Their vision is to be recognised nationally and internationally as the United Kingdoms leading organisation for the provision of protective policing for the civil nuclear industry and other critical national infrastructure. Their role in protecting the nations security is unique, which is why being a Police Officer is about so much more than traditional policing. Youll become part of a highly trained, well-disciplined, and professional team working from their Operational Units as part of a team to provide 24/7 armed response; patrolling and protecting nuclear sites, facilities and materials, as well as patrolling in the local communities and working with local Home Office Police Forces. Upon joining them youll be enrolled onto the Level Four Non Home Office Police Officer apprenticeship. This is a two year apprenticeship; the first 19 weeks will be a residential Initial Foundation Programme (IFP) which will include their world-class comprehensive Authorised Firearms training; Towards the end of your apprenticeship, youll take an End Point Assessment, upon successful completion of this youll be confirmed in rank as a Police Constable.
After your 2-year probationary period, youll be eligible to apply for a role in one of their specialist areas to enhance your policing skills further, such as Dog Handler, Special Branch, Firearms Instructor or Strategic Group Officer.
As police officers the public expect them to display the highest standards, values and professional qualities at all times. The service values and Code of Ethics applies to all police officers and sets out the principles standards of behaviour they expect to see, and you are responsible for displaying and delivering to the highest standards.
Applicants must be 18 years old and have a full manual driving licence.
22 days (176 hours) per year annual leave, plus bank holidays - increasing to 25 days (200 hours) after 2 years service.
~ Generous pension scheme, compromised of an 8.Your starting salary as a Police Constable will be £29,907, which increases after successful completion of your 2 year probation to £31,164.
~ Every year thereafter, you have the opportunity to reach the next pay point, attaining our highest pay point for Police Constables within 7 years of joining them, which is £48,231.
