Job Description

We are currently seeking a Senior Cost Manager to join our growing Healthcare team in our Manchester office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering cost management services on major healthcare projects and nationally significant programmes, working closely with our clients and project teams to ensure that their projects are delivered successfully.

The role will involve:

  1. Providing cost management services on new and exciting healthcare projects and nationally significant programmes.
  2. Using our bespoke cost management tools and apps to optimise cost performance at every stage of projects.
  3. Working collaboratively with leading design teams, sector specialists, and tier one main contractors to manage the design to budget.
  4. Using our benchmarking app to analyse and test budgets using a reliable pool of national data.
  5. Using CostX and our cost planning app to improve collaboration with designers and highlight changes between design versions.
  6. Informing our clients of future cost trends by harnessing the analytical capabilities of our Market Rates App, which captures, analyses, and stores live national data at a component level.
  7. Advising clients on procurement and contract strategies.
  8. Delivering the procurement strategy utilising our eTender platform, which produces a financial report on day one of the tender and compares and analyses tenders side by side efficiently and effectively.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced cost manager who is passionate about delivering high-quality cost management services to our clients.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A minimum BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar.
  2. Demonstrable experience delivering cost management services in the healthcare sector.
  3. Practical knowledge of NEC forms of contract would be beneficial.
