Job Title: MEP Senior Cost Manager

Job Summary:

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced MEP Senior Cost Manager to join our Real Estate team in Manchester. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for leading the MEP specific deliverables within larger projects or leading direct MEP commissions. Your expertise will be essential in establishing early budgets, estimating, and cost planning, as well as managing design teams, tendering, and procurement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Commission Management: Assist in feasibility studies, write procurement reports, estimate and cost plan, tender and procure, manage post-contract cost variances, and negotiate final accounts.
  • Cost Management: Produce monthly post-contract cost reports, present them to clients, and input into value engineering.
  • Leadership: Lead a cost management team, ensuring they deliver on all accountabilities.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality cost management services across the full project lifecycle.
  • Professionally qualified (RICS or similar) or working towards.
  • Degree or HNC level qualification.
  • Ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Experience in delivering MEP elements of work for clients.
  • Knowledge and contacts within the MEP supply chain.
  • Commercially astute with good negotiation skills.
  • Excellent people person and great communicator.
