Job Summary

Microland is seeking a highly skilled Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Specialist to join our team. As a VDI Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing VDI solutions to meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement VDI solutions to meet the needs of our clients, including virtual machine and image management, and client application installation.
  • Provide tier 2/3 incident ticket support and troubleshooting for VDI issues, and assist in maintaining VDI golden images.
  • Develop plans for deploying and administering virtual machines, images, and virtual apps, and assist with researching, evaluating, and recommending VDI-related hardware, software, and services.
  • Collaborate with operational counterparts to support and discover opportunities for improvement via automation, process improvements, and other initiatives.
  • Perform advanced problem analysis and isolate problems of moderate to high complexity, with little instruction from team leads and/or management.
  • Achieve and adhere to established Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Contribute to the Operational knowledgebase in the form of new or updated technical articles/documents focused on issue resolution or prevention.

Requirements

  • Engineer - B.E / B.Tech / MCA degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Microsoft Certification in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) or related field.
  • IT Certifications in Microsoft Visual Studio Software Testing Fundamentals or related field.
  • Advanced trouble shooting skills and ability to resolve issues quickly to account/customer satisfaction.
  • ITIL knowledge and experience with VDI operations and service desk.
