Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Epsom & St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in the smooth operation of our dispensary, ensuring the efficient dispensing of medications and providing excellent patient care.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the daily operations of the dispensary, including dispensing medications and maintaining accurate records.
  • Providing patient counselling and guidance on medication usage.
  • Supporting the Senior Technician in overseeing dispensing services and ensuring seamless operation.
  • Maintaining pharmacy stocks and ordering supplies as required.
  • Providing training and mentorship to trainee pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy staff.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Experience in dispensing and supply of medicines, as well as computerised dispensing and stock control.
