About the Role
National Grid, a leading energy company, is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist to join its growing cyber security team. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in shaping the security elements of the company's DevSecOps methodology.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to secure and create efficiencies for on-premises and cloud-based systems.
- Design and integrate security tooling, including scripting, coding, and configuration.
- Provide regular reports and dashboards on security status, trends, and metrics.
- Collaborate with Agile DevSecOps initiatives and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and visibility.
- Stay up-to-date with current and emerging DevSecOps ways of working to ensure National Grid leads by example.
About You
- Proven experience in security engineering, operations, analysis, and response.
- Proficient in DevSecOps methodology, frameworks, tools, and automation integration.
- Experience with DevSecOps-focused security tooling, including Kubernetes monitoring and log collection infrastructure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex and dynamic situations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
