Job Summary:

Chadwick Nott - London is seeking a highly experienced Procurement Lawyer to join their legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement law and commercial compliance, with the ability to shape the organisation's long-term procurement strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design and implementation of a commercial compliance framework that adheres to applicable legal rules and embeds best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations in line with the Board's level of risk appetite, providing standards on processes and controls.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Public Contract Regulations, horizon scanning for the organisation, and ensuring that the category team operates to the highest standards.
  • Support the implementation of new standard procurement documents.
  • Represent the legal function at meetings of the Category Decision Forum and, where appropriate, the Category Management Forum to ensure that decisions taken are informed by an assessment of legal risk.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience within a private practice or in-house environment practicing in a relevant area.
  • Extensive experience of procurement law.
