Contract: Permanent, Nottingham Support Office

We are seeking a qualified solicitor to join our Boots Legal & Compliance team as a Commercial Lawyer, based in Nottingham. As a trusted advisor, you will provide strategic legal advice to all areas of the business, negotiating commercial contracts and delivering pragmatic and clear legal solutions in partnership with the business.

The Commercial Law team is a close-knit team of five lawyers, headed by the Director of Commercial Law. You will report into this role and work alongside a wide range of business areas in the UK and Ireland, including Procurement, Finance, Boots Trading, Marketing, Ecommerce, IT, Logistics, Sourcing, Research & Development, and Healthcare teams.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing commercial legal advice and support across Boots, No7 Beauty Company, and other businesses on contractual matters
  • Contract drafting and negotiation in relation to various types of agreements, including brand partnerships, software licences, and support
  • Ensuring that any contractual arrangements accurately reflect the intentions of the business and that all significant risks are managed appropriately
