Housing Specialist Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Housing Specialist to join our team at g2 Recruitment. As a Housing Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and solutions in housing, working closely with local authorities and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate homeless enquiries to help prevent and relieve homelessness, utilizing knowledge of HRA 2017 and other relevant housing legislation.
- Offer assistance, advice, and solutions in housing, leveraging your expertise to drive positive outcomes.
- Conduct interviews and complete client visits, ensuring effective communication and relationship-building.
- Successfully manage homelessness presentations in line with the Housing Act 1996 Part VII, from initial presentation to Section 184 notifications and beyond.
Requirements:
- Over 2 years' experience in Local Authorities, with a strong understanding of HRA 2017 and other housing legislation.
- Proven track record of investigating homeless enquiries and providing effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results.
