Responsibilities

  1. Design and implement effective physiotherapy strategies to prevent injuries and enhance player performance.
  2. Conduct thorough assessments of players' physical conditions, using knowledge of anatomy and physiology to inform treatment plans.
  3. Provide hands-on treatment and rehabilitation for injuries sustained during training or matches, ensuring a safe return to play.
  4. Collaborate with coaching staff to monitor player health and fitness levels, offering guidance on appropriate training loads.
  5. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with medical terminology standards.
  6. Educate players and their families on injury management, prevention strategies, and overall health maintenance.
  7. Stay updated with the latest developments in sports physiotherapy, paediatrics, and relevant medical practices to enhance service delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A recognised degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working within a sporting environment, preferably with young athletes.
  • Strong knowledge of paediatrics and the unique physiological needs of children in sport.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology related to patient care and rehabilitation practices.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with players, parents, coaches, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating leadership qualities.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development in physiotherapy practices related to sports medicine.
