About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Vistry Kent, based in West Malling. As a key member of our commercial delivery team, you will be responsible for assisting with the cost management of residential development schemes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the compilation of tender packages for sub-contract trades.
  • Receive and analyze tenders, comparing levels and making recommendations.
  • Issue sub-contract orders in accordance with Group Policy and Commercial Best Practice.
  • Liaise with the Build Department on sub-contractors' performance and compliance with order conditions.
  • Assist with the production of sub-contract orders to meet site programmed build requirements.
  • Provide forecast and site budget information to meet business reporting requirements.
  • Control and report post-contract cost movements.
  • Process invoices and applications for payments in accordance with Standard Terms and Conditions of Contract.

Requirements

  • HNC / Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
  • Good understanding of building regulations and legal obligations.
  • Strong mathematical and IT ability.
  • Good business sense and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
