Management Accountant Role

**Job Summary:**

Quest Employment is partnering with a leading automotive supplier to find a skilled Management Accountant. This exciting opportunity involves a range of tasks, new challenges, and opportunities for growth.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Analyze and report on product and customer profitability
* Assist with preparing quarterly VAT returns, statutory accounts, external audits, budgets & forecasts, and cash flow projections
* Prepare the monthly management accounts; P&L, balance sheets (inc. Reconciliations/inventory balance) & cash flow
* Manage price differences with customers & suppliers; ensuring prompt resolution to queries identified
* All sales and stock journals at month end
* Analysis of stock ageing profile & review of slow moving/obsolete stocks
* Work with all departments to improve reporting, efficiency & cost management
* Capex reporting; actual and forecast with comparison to budgets

**Requirements:**

* Fully qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA etc.
* UK/EU VAT experience
* Ability to produce accurate & timely management reports
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills
* Knowledge of SAP (desired but not essential)
* Familiar with foreign currency transactions
* People management experience

**What You'll Get:**

Reporting to the Finance and Controlling Manager, the successful candidate will have two direct reports and opportunities for progression.
