About the Role

We are seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join our team at Binnies, a leading provider of engineering services. As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will be part of our development programme, working alongside experienced professionals to deliver projects in the UK Water Industry.

As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from outline and detail design to site planning and coordination. You will be responsible for producing high-quality designs, working closely with other professionals and stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake outline and detail design for projects within specified timescales.
  • Assist with producing site plans, general arrangements, and calculations using approved engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Work alongside other professionals and JV construction partners in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Coordinate work with other Binnies offices and liaise with engineers and other professionals in the wider Binnies RSK Group.
  • Assist with preparation of technical and non-technical reports.
  • Ensure civil design takes account of buildability and H&S requirements.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication of civil design.
  • Assist with design support activities during construction.
About You

We are looking for a motivated and talented individual with a strong academic background in civil engineering. You will have a desire to work proactively towards Incorporated or Chartered membership of the ICE, CIWEM, or other equivalent institutions.

You will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Self-motivation and a proactive approach to your work are essential.
