Graduate Civil Engineer Role
We are seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our team in the North of Scotland. As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will work closely with our senior engineers, gaining hands-on experience and developing your skills in setting out, surveying, and resolving technical problems. You will also have the opportunity to rotate to different sectors or projects, maximizing your learning and exposure to your field of study.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurate setting out of works and dimensional control
- Resolving technical problems at all levels
- Carrying out inspections in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan
- Producing survey information and red-lined drawings for As-built records
- Ensuring activities are carried out in a safe manner in accordance with the Project Safety Plan
- Accurate maintenance of Quality Management System records
- Ensuring equipment is calibrated, in date, and suitable checked in accordance with company policies and manufacturers' defined requirements
- Informing senior management of any non-conformances or poor workmanship
- Ensuring all site personnel have clear, accurate, and appropriate information to carry out their duties
- Closing liaison with the Site Foreman and Works Managers
- Ensuring only the latest issue drawings and documents are being used
- Ensuring all materials on site are suitable, stored in line with manufacturer's recommendations, current working practice, contract specification, or project requirements
- Assisting the Site Management team to update KPIs, material reconciliation, and progress reports
- Assisting QS with site quantities and measures for monthly valuations
Requirements
- ICE accredited Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent
- Full clean driving licence
- Eligible to work in the UK with a valid work permit if applicable
