We are seeking a highly skilled Production Engineering Manager to lead our production team and drive operational excellence. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing production support, process optimization, and new product introduction (NPI) expertise.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Team: Lead with a passion for operational excellence, instill this within the team culture, and demonstrate commitment to Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and maximizing team performance.
- Production Support: Support the timely and consistent delivery of all production demand, respond to stoppages and quality issues, and plan, organize, and manage resources and parts to maintain all equipment maintenance schedules.
- Lean Manufacturing / Process Optimization: Utilize lean manufacturing principles to streamline production processes, eliminate waste, and improve overall efficiency.
- New Product Introduction (NPI): Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transition from design to production, contribute to the design process ensuring design for manufacture is embedded throughout, and develop manufacturing plans, process documentation, and training materials for NPI projects.
- Product Build Transfers: Lead the transfer of product lines to alternative manufacturing facilities, working across teams to ensure transfers are delivered on-time, within budget, and with risks identified and appropriately mitigated.
- Essential: Team leadership experience, sound engineering background, and ability to realize and solve technical problems.
- Desirable: Qualification in Management to Level 3 or above, degree in relevant engineering discipline, and previous experience in a production engineering environment.
Curtiss-Wright Corporation is a leading supplier of components and sub-systems for on- and off-highway vehicles, as well as control systems for medical mobility solutions.
