**About the Role**

Swindon Borough Council is seeking a highly skilled Highway Higher Skilled Electrician to join our team. As a key member of our Highway Maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out all types of maintenance and fault-finding work associated with Street lighting throughout the Borough.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Carry out maintenance and fault-finding work on Street lighting systems
  • Work on both single and dual carriageway roads with traffic
  • Have good experience of street lighting electrical maintenance
  • Hold City & Guilds 2365 or 2357 or equivalent recognised qualification in electrical installation or electrical technology
  • NVQ level 3 in electrical installation or electrical technology
  • Be prepared to work in all weather conditions
  • Participate in an out-of-hours standby rota to attend emergency situations
  • Work overtime as required
  • Hold a driving licence

**Requirements**

  • Fluent in the English language
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
