Job Title: SEN KS5 Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN KS5 Teacher to join our team at a vibrant and inclusive SEN college. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality education to students aged 16-18 with diverse special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the individual needs of students with SEN at KS5 level.
  • Develop and implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) for each student, ensuring their educational goals are met.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to provide comprehensive support for students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, engagement, and positive behaviour.
  • Provide pastoral care, helping students build social skills, self-esteem, and resilience.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching students with SEN, particularly at KS5 level, is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of various special educational needs and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting young people with diverse needs.
