About the Role

We are seeking a skilled HV System Design Engineer to join our Engineering Design Team in Eastleigh. As a key member of our Power Grids Design team, you will be responsible for designing complex HV cable systems and supporting the HV business in winning tenders and contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop technical details and cost-effective cable system design proposals for customer enquiries and provide engineering support during contract execution.
  • Liaise with other Prysmian Affiliate Design teams as necessary to support the UK and participation in Prysmian Group Design coordination meetings and activities.
  • Ensure the maintenance of records of contracts for future reference.
  • Provide technical support, training and services to internal functions and Customers.
  • Drive product Approvals for UK Customers

Requirements

  • Previous experience of HV systems design and involvement in complex, large scale projects is desirable, however not essential.
  • Educated up to degree level or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
  • Preferably hold experience of Mathcad, however training can be given.
  • Methodical thinker.
  • Possess sound written and oral communication skills.
