About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and improvement of Britwind's small wind turbines. This will involve working closely with the production team to design and manufacture efficient and reliable systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical design and testing, as well as experience in fault-finding and power measurement. They will also have a clear understanding of energy management and control in domestic and small-scale renewables.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and improve small wind turbine designs to increase efficiency and reliability
- Work closely with the production team to design and manufacture electrical systems
- Test and validate electrical systems to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Collaborate with the engineering team to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes
- Provide technical support and guidance to the production team
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and specifications
About You
Requirements
- Strong background in electrical design and testing
- Experience in fault-finding and power measurement
- Clear understanding of energy management and control in domestic and small-scale renewables
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of national and international standards and directives
- Experience with motor drives and filter design
- Experience with ARM microcontrollers and C programming
- Formal safety management qualification
