Principal Quality Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Quality Engineer to join our team on the Global Combat Air Programme. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for implementing Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and driving quality excellence from the early stages of our next generation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality plans to ensure product quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with international partners to foster a unified approach to quality management and share best practices globally.
  • Train and mentor team members on APQP practices and standards.
  • Ensure precision in quality documentation, audits, and compliance activities.

Requirements:

  • Experience in quality engineering, preferably in the aerospace or defence industry.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems, standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001), and regulatory requirements.
  • Expertise in APQP methodologies and tools, New Product Introduction, and familiarity with risk assessment and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to convey complex quality concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to take initiative and lead quality initiatives, with a particular emphasis on APQP.
