**About the Opportunity**

We are seeking a highly skilled Media Processing Infrastructure Manager to join our team at Apple. This role will be responsible for the technical operation and management of live HW/SW media encoding infrastructure present in event-site mobile data centers, flypacks, and operations centers.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of delivering outstanding encoding support for media productions and identifying future production trends that ensure media encoding systems always exceed meticulous quality standards and technical performance benchmarks required of Apple production.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with groundbreaking technology and support amazing productions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the technical operation and maintenance of live media encoding infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve media encoding system performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with media encode and processing software development teams to develop new features and functionality.
  • Lead the full-uptime performance of the media encode stack during live events.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in digital media encoding or related field.
  • Strong understanding of hardware and software engineering principles.
  • Experience working with live event technical operations and production environments.
