Yunex Traffic is seeking a talented and ambitious undergraduate to join our UK Procurement team as part of our Intern Development Programme. This 12-month internship will provide you with a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in a leading global intelligent traffic systems company.

The Challenge

As a #TrafficTransformer intern, you will be responsible for working on real projects, bringing fresh perspectives to our business, and helping us achieve our goals. Your tasks will include:

  • KPI reports on On Time Delivery, Savings, and Rejects
  • Framework orders and chasing people for action
  • Supplying reports on local spend for tendering team
  • Cashflow optimisation report
  • Onboarding suppliers and Master data updates
  • Running subcontractor's spend data
  • Regularly reviewing invoices and resolving issues around overdue invoices
  • Obtaining quotes and lead times
  • Helping maintain and achieve our Procurement sustainability targets
  • Credit application forms when required by suppliers

The Location

The location of this internship role will be in Poole, Dorset, with our offices based 2.5 miles outside the city centre and half an hour from Bournemouth. We offer frequent direct bus services and ample free onsite parking.

The Candidate

We are looking for forward-thinking, inquisitive candidates who demonstrate the following characteristics:

  • Studying for their degree, ideally in a Procurement or Finance related subject
  • A logical thinker, willing to self-learn, research, and take a creative approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work independently, safely, and responsibly, taking ownership of challenges and ideas
  • IT proficiency and ability to learn and adapt to new systems
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and adapt to deadlines
