We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director to lead our Generative AI team at GlaxoSmithKline. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving our overall Generative AI strategy and roadmap, ensuring we stay at the forefront of innovation in closed and open models and AI agents.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a Global Team of Experts: Build and lead a team of Generative AI specialists to deliver business value throughout our global supply chain.
- Drive the Generative AI Platform Roadmap: Develop and manage our Generative AI platform roadmap, ensuring we stay on par with the latest advancements in Large Language Models (LLMs) and Gen AI standards.
- Manage Budget and Resources: Effectively manage the budget and internal resources to deliver on our aggressive Gen AI ambitions.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of Gen AI solutions.
- Technical Leadership: Lead internal and external developers to deliver on the Generative AI platform roadmap.
- Education and Awareness: Educate the organization on the potential of Generative AI and its applications in various business areas.
- Higher Degree: A higher degree (PhD preferred) in Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Bioinformatics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience in Technical Leadership: Experience managing, attracting, and developing technical talent.
- Understanding of LLMs: Understanding of LLMs fine-tuning and/or training lifecycle (LLMops).
- Communication Skills: Experience writing and presenting papers, documentation, and presentations to explain work.
