Electrical Trainer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Trainer to join our team at British Gas. As an Electrical Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical training to our engineers, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to excel in their roles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for electrical engineers, covering all aspects of technical training.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, including lesson plans, presentations, and assessments.
  • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and one-on-one coaching to support engineers in their professional development.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content is up-to-date and relevant.
  • Manage and maintain training records, including attendance, progress, and assessment results.
Requirements:
  • Electrical NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in delivering technical training, preferably in a large customer-facing organization.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, principles, and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers, managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze training needs, design effective training programs, and evaluate their impact.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
