Financial Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our team on a contract basis. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our organisation's financial goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Business Partnering: Collaborate with various teams to support the end-to-end cost-saving programme and transformational projects impacting all P&L lines.
- Waste Management: Partner with supply chain to analyse and understand the dynamics between waste spending and sales benefits, focusing on waste reduction and its correlation with availability.
- Range Changes: Act as the finance lead for the Express fit for growth programme, partnering with the lead Cat D for Express and the Space range and merch director on the financial implications of range changes.
- Capital Governance and Control: Manage investment committee papers, post-investment reviews, and ensure effective governance and control over capital investments.
- Adhoc Projects: Take on various adhoc projects that support the commercial leadership team in achieving their targets, such as promotions, price index analysis, Express business strategy, and supplier economics.
- Accounting qualification essential (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
- Experience in a Retail Environment
- Highly evolved analytical skills
- Expertise in financial modelling
- Ability to transform complex data into a clear narrative for senior stakeholders
- Strong business partnering skills, comfortable working with challenging stakeholders
- Excellent time management and ability to work at pace with tight timelines
- Independent and proactive approach to meet key deadlines
