Job Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- To code GBS invoices for processing on the purchase ledger daily, utilizing various trackers to source information.
- To assist in producing payments packs to suppliers and ad hoc payments.
- To complete regular Supplier statement reconciliations, investigate queries and chase for any missing invoices.
- To undertake ad hoc tasks as required from time to time by the purchase ledger supervisor to assist in the general duties of the department.
- To assist the Treasury department when necessary.
Key Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in purchase ledger duties, with good knowledge of purchase ledger invoice processing and payments.
- Knowledge of internal controls in a purchase ledger.
- The ability to work to instructions effectively, in a team environment and to adhere to deadlines.
- Computerised accounting purchase-ledger experience.
- High attention to detail and, logical, and orderly in approach to processing.
- Sound working knowledge of MS Windows-based software packages, especially Excel, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, electronic mail, and the internet.
