Responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, providing coaching and training to junior staff, and working closely with managers and principals to assist clients with tax planning and financial statement preparation.
The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepares and reviews complex tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Provides leadership and training to junior staff, including coaching and mentoring to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
- Works closely with managers and principals to assist clients with tax planning, financial statement preparation, and other accounting and auditing services.
- Identifies areas of specialization and takes on additional responsibilities to support the growth and development of the firm.
- Stays up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, and applies this knowledge to ensure clients are in compliance.
The successful candidate will have:
- A strong background in tax planning and preparation, with a minimum of two years of experience.
- Excellent technical, analytical, and organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, with the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure clients are in compliance.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Three years of experience in tax planning and preparation, with a strong background in financial statement preparation and auditing.
- Experience with tax preparation software, such as ProSystems, and a strong understanding of accounting and auditing principles.
The successful candidate will be able to lift up to 20 pounds, stand or sit for extended periods of time, and type/enter data at a keyboard regularly.
