About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Sales Director to lead our commercial sales efforts in the UK. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, developing and executing sales strategies, and building a high-performing sales team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Senior Account Directors to achieve sales targets and drive business growth.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to expand our key accounts and acquire new logos in the UK.
- Sustain a customer-focused culture across the UK, ensuring a high-performance sales environment.
- Define, build, and implement the UK commercial sales strategy, aligning with our company's overall business objectives.
- Develop and execute a Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy in the UK, driving sales growth and revenue expansion.
- Influence policy and ensure delivery across large and diverse sales territories, aligning with our company's overall strategy.
- Lead customer engagement at the C-level, introducing our vision, linking customer business objectives to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and aligning KPIs to measurable outcomes and quantifiable value.
- Bring operational rigor and discipline to forecasting, sales process, and driving continuous commercial improvement.
- Meet and exceed assigned quarterly and yearly sales and strategic account objectives in targeted customers.
- Provide feedback and insights to shape and enhance our product and solution portfolio, working alongside marketing, solutions, support, and delivery teams.
- Be a creative problem solver, recognizing growth opportunities in the market and orchestrating cross-functional teams to create, articulate, and execute against the strategic plan.
Qualifications and Experience
- Extensive leadership experience in IT services sales, business development, and sales strategy.
- Thought leadership, comfortable with market and technology trends, uncertainty, and developing content and domain expertise.
- Deep experience with the IT services industry or related field.
- Proven track record of sales success, achieving or over-achieving quotas, building out new markets, etc.
- Strong communications skills and executive presence.
- Degree in business, engineering, computer science, or related discipline.
- Fluent English.
Desired Characteristics
- Ability to build deep trust with internal stakeholders and end-customer executives, managing through ambiguity and a complex matrix environment.
- Strong desire to train and enable sales professionals to embrace and use solution selling approaches that compel end customers to adopt and implement IT services to solve more strategic, comprehensive, mission-critical business problems.
- Technical acumen to interface with technologists, understand complex concepts, and translate them in a way that businesses or industries can understand.
