Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Railway Operations Coordinator to join our team at Culina Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of trailers on and off loading bays, as well as delivering shunt loads from one location to another.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To coordinate the movement of trailers to required areas as per instructions
  • To maintain effective communication with colleagues using two-way radios
  • To conduct regular safety checks and report any defects or incidents
  • To ensure fridges are set at the correct temperature and diesel tanks have adequate fuel
  • To maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with colleagues
  • To report any breaches in speed limits by drivers and sub-contractors
  • To keep vehicle parking areas tidy and report any issues to the site services team
  • To maintain company standards of hygiene and housekeeping
  • To work in line with Health & Safety legislation

Requirements:

  • Desirable: experience working with and driving LGVs
  • Previous shunting experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Teamworking and communication skills
  • Ability to work to challenging deadlines
  • Self-discipline and motivation
