Full-Time Teaching Assistant (KS1) Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Full-Time Teaching Assistant (KS1) at a school in Preston. As a key member of our educational team, you will play a crucial role in supporting KS1 students and teachers.

About the Role

As a Full-Time Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and delivery.
  • Providing one-on-one and small group support to students who may need additional help.
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Engaging in interactive activities to enhance students' learning experiences.
  • Helping to manage classroom behaviour and ensuring a safe learning environment.
  • Contributing to the development of learning resources and materials.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Previous experience working within a KS1 educational setting.
  • A solid understanding of the KS1 curriculum and educational practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with young learners.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive hourly rate of £12.90 - £13.50, inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with the option to make it permanent at a later date. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'.
