Join the Elsdon Group as a Mechanical Construction Lead in Chester

This is a full-time role offering a salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum.

As a Mechanical Construction Lead, you will oversee mechanical installations on-site, ensuring adherence to project designs and timelines. You will verify that construction work complies with design drawings, specifications, and schedules.

You will conduct regular site inspections to ensure high standards of safety and quality, anticipating material requirements and notifying the Site Chief promptly.

You will prepare and submit daily progress reports, including relevant documentation. You will communicate material, manpower, and site-related issues to the Site Chief to support timely corrective actions.

You will identify and address defects or incomplete tasks, escalating unresolved issues to the Site Chief. Promoting and enforcing strict compliance with health and safety regulations across the site is also essential.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in industrial or plant-based projects
  • SMSTS certification is advantageous
  • Strong analytical skills with effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Factory or industrial plant experience is highly desirable
  • A valid CSCS Card or equivalent certification is essential
