**Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Accountant - Manufacturing to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of financial and management reporting for the Group's Operations, comprising the Planning, Production, Recycling, and Logistics functions.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic business partner to the Head of Manufacturing
  • Identify and analyse risks and opportunities to achieve annual business unit targets
  • Conduct financial appraisals and corresponding cost tracking of strategic initiatives
  • Lead, manage, and support a team of management accountants within Manufacturing
  • Develop a strong understanding of all areas of Operations - becoming a 'go-to' person for both the operational team and members of finance Support within individual areas of manufacturing as required
  • Support and review throughout all areas of the accounting process for manufacturing
  • Deliver Month end reporting, Annual budgets, and financial forecasts
  • Analyse the performance for both internal and external stakeholders

**Requirements:

  • Strong academic qualifications: CIMA / ACCA qualified accountant
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience of managing a team
  • SAP system experience beneficial, particularly production and financial modules
  • Full UK driver's license
  • Ability to work well with operational staff and translate operational opportunities and issues into financial outputs
  • Strong team player able to provide support and guidance to both direct reports and other team members
  • Have a proactive and positive approach and able to work on your own initiative
  • An ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise accordingly - both with own workload and team workload
