About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Associate Director to lead our Fabrication and Events team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of large-scale fabrication projects and events for various clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct a team of carpenters, CAD technicians, and production managers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and implement build schedules, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop event ideas and concepts.
  • Provide guidance and leadership on practical build, construction, and site project management needs.
  • Liaise with clients and participate in pitches for new business opportunities.
  • Manage and advise on build drawings, ensuring efficient production methods and profitability.
  • Work closely with the Head of Production to ensure scheduling and overtime requirements are met.
  • Ensure high-quality project management, advising on best practices for production and delivery.
  • Lead the fabrication team, providing training and development opportunities.
  • Attend business-wide meetings, ensuring the fabrication department's voice is heard and represented.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and technology, implementing improvements to the fabrication build department.
  • Engage with other department leads and Associate Directors to ensure cohesive and efficient working practices.
  • Maintain and improve Health and Safety standards, ensuring teams adhere to company guidelines.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong experience in CAD, CNC, Octanorm, and event build systems.
  • Carpentry/joinery skills and electrical LED lighting systems knowledge.
  • AV and team leadership experience.
  • Excellent project management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to deal with conflict and resolution.
  • Hardworking, reliable, and able to work as part of a team.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize, with a clean driving license and fork lift license desirable.
