About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate Director to lead our Fabrication and Events team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of large-scale fabrication projects and events for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct a team of carpenters, CAD technicians, and production managers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and implement build schedules, budgets, and designs in collaboration with project managers and production teams.
  • Provide comprehensive support and leadership on projects and tasks, including daily, weekly, and monthly build schedules.
  • Strategically grow the department and fabrication offering, developing your team and their skills.
  • Manage and monitor build event ideas, update internal MIS systems, and provide guidance and leadership across practical build, construction, and site project management needs.
  • Liaise with clients and be part of pitches for new works.
  • Advise on build drawings, ensuring efficient production and driving profitability for Wasserman Live.
  • Work with the Head of Production and Production Managers to ensure scheduling, overtime, and weekend working requirements are met.
  • Ensure all projects are managed to a high standard, advising on best routes/methods for production and delivering projects as needed.
  • Lead the fabrication team, advising and planning production elements, training, and development.
  • Attend business-wide meetings, ensuring the fabrication department is heard and has a voice.
  • Strategically keep the fabrication build department at the forefront of technology and industry improvements.
  • Engage with other department leads and Associate Directors to work cohesively and efficiently.
  • Improve and maintain H&S requirements, ensuring teams adhere to our standards.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong experience and knowledge of CAD, CNC, Octanorm, and event build systems.
  • Carpentry/joinery skills, electrical LED lighting systems, AV, and team leadership.
  • Excellent project management, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to deal with conflict and resolution.
  • Hardworking, reliable, and able to work as part of a team.
  • Able to multitask and prioritise, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office suite.
  • Health and Safety trained.
  • Clean driving licence - essential.
  • Fork lift licence - desirable.

Weekend and offsite working may be required from time to time.
