Job Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced medical leader to join our team as a Chief Medical Officer (Development). This is a rare opportunity to create a new executive medical leadership team and help drive our organization forward in delivering patient-centered care and clinical excellence.

About the Role: The successful candidate will take the executive lead on our advancement as a digitally enabled healthcare provider, including artificial intelligence and innovation, as well as medical education, research, service development, change, and transformation. They will work interchangeably with our new Chief Medical Officer (Operations) and with a wide range of external organizations and agencies to support partnership working and collaboration, clinical pathway redesign, and representing our organization on the wider stage.

Key Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing leadership across our organization and the wider system
  • Shaping and influencing strategic direction at the national level
  • Working with external organizations and agencies to support partnership working and collaboration
  • Representing our organization on the wider stage

Requirements: We are looking for a talented and ambitious medical leader who has experience of working at a senior level in complex healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of partnership working, collaboration, and delivery, as well as a drive for innovation and improvement. They will also have a natural empathy with our organizational values, which include patients first, respect, kindness, fairness, diversity, ownership, celebration of successes, continuous learning, unity, partnership, delivery, efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability.
