About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual to join our team as the Deputy Director of Quality Governance at Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our Trust and ensuring that we continue to provide high-quality, safe, and effective care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide strategic leadership and expert advice to the Executive Team and Trust Board on all aspects of Quality Governance, including patient safety, risk management, and assurance frameworks.
  • To develop and implement robust clinical governance policies, procedures, and guidelines that meet the needs of our Trust and comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • To lead and manage a team of professionals responsible for risk management, patient safety, and clinical effectiveness, ensuring that they have the necessary skills, knowledge, and resources to deliver high-quality services.
  • To work collaboratively with other departments and teams to ensure that patient safety and quality are embedded throughout our Trust, from board level to ward level.
  • To provide assurance that our Trust is compliant with and making incremental gains against the Care Quality Commission (CQC) Standards, the NHS Improvement Single Oversight Framework, and relevant Health and Safety Standards.

About You

We are looking for an experienced and skilled individual who has a strong background in quality governance, patient safety, and risk management. You will have excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of professionals to deliver high-quality services. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve common goals.
