About the Role

We are seeking a Programme Coordinator & Facilitator to lead our SIG Safe Grounds flagship Family Service at HMP Altcourse. This innovative service brings together creative interventions, bespoke family counselling, and daily practical support for families visiting a loved one.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Family Service at HMP Altcourse, working alongside internal teams to deliver creative interventions and family counselling.
  • Develop and implement programmes to support families, including daily practical support and bespoke family counselling.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of services and effective communication with families.
  • Contribute to the development of the Family Service, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a prison or custody setting, with a focus on family support and counselling.
  • Strong leadership and programme management skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with families and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
