About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Sutton Primary Care Networks. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with patient health checks, annual health checks, and other clinical procedures
  • Conduct blood pressure monitoring, urinalysis, and other diagnostic tests
  • Provide phlebotomy services and assist with laboratory sample processing
  • Support with spirometry, chaperoning duties, and adult immunisations
  • Offer lifestyle advice and make referrals as necessary
  • Monitor patient weights and ensure accurate documentation
  • Process and manage laboratory samples, ensuring specimens are labelled and bagged correctly
  • Maintain vaccine and cold chain storage, monitoring, and recording
  • Restock and maintain clinical areas and consulting rooms
  • Assist with seasonal and special projects, such as flu campaigns
  • Order and display health promotion materials

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Experience working in a healthcare assistant role, adult health and social care, learning support, or public health/health improvement
  • Experience working within a GP Practice
  • Essential qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Desirable qualifications: Phlebotomy accredited, Immunisation and Vaccination accredited, Ear Syringing accredited
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to change
  • Commitment to reducing health inequalities and proactively working to reach people in all communities
