Job Summary

The Senior Payroll Accountant is a key member of the Compassus team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of payroll processing. This role requires a strong understanding of financial principles and the ability to analyze complex data sets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and prepare transactions for entry, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Utilize Workday Financials to extract and analyze payroll data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Payroll team to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely processing.
  • Prepare detailed general ledger account reconciliations, researching and reporting discrepancies.
  • Support internal and external audits related to payroll transactions and processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting required.
  • Minimum of three years of related experience, preferably in payroll and/or benefit accounting.
  • Experience with Workday Financial and/or Workday Payroll highly preferred.
  • Strong mathematical skills, with ability to analyze complex data sets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively present information to leaders and stakeholders.
